Gentle Tai Chi

Tuesdays — 10:00 - 11:00 AM

For beginners with physical limitations and older students

Daily exercise is essential for health and happiness, but for most people finding a safe effective exercise is a challenge as we grow older. Fortunately, tai offers a gentle workout that can heal and strengthen.

In this on-going weekly class, we will learn and practice several tai chi forms that are endorsed as “safe, effective, and accessible” by the Tai Chi for Health Institute. We will also learn a 5 element Qi Gong, or a “life force cultivation” exercise that uses deep breathing and simple movement to cultivate energy and clarity. Ample time will be available for sharing our experiences with tai chi.

This class emphasizes the importance of moving in our comfort zone.
